GLOZalando is transforming its loyalty programme, Zalando Plus, into a points-based system that recognizes customer loyalty. This evolution aligns with Zalando’s strategic goal of delivering premium shopping experiences and strengthening customer relationships.
The revamped Zalando Plus programme eliminates the previous annual fee. Instead, registered customers can earn points through activities such as purchases and interactions on the Zalando app or website, like subscribing to newsletters. These points allow customers to progress through four levels, unlocking a variety of benefits. While retaining the perks of the original programme, new features like birthday vouchers and access to exclusive events have been added, with more to come in the future.
“In recent years, we’ve built a strong loyalty programme with over 2.5 million members across eight markets,” said Pascal Hahn, VP of Customer Conversion at Zalando. “With the new Zalando Plus programme, we’re addressing customer desires while making the offer free of charge.”
Following its successful introduction in Spain this summer, the new programme is now launching in Austria and France. Existing Plus members will experience a seamless transition, with immediate access to benefits based on their previous activity. Additionally, all former Plus members will receive a full refund of the annual fee.
For members in other markets, introducing the updated Plus programme in France and Austria will not bring any changes.
