This milestone recognition celebrates VIRTÙ’s unique blend of modern Japanese ingredients and French elegance, placing it at the forefront of Tokyo’s vibrant cocktail scene. The bar’s ascent on the global stage comes after being ranked #11 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list earlier this year, as well as winning the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award for 2024.

Keith Motsi, Head Bartender at VIRTÙ, shares his excitement: “We always strive to create something that lingers in the memory long after the last sip. Earning a place on the World’s 50 Best Bars list is a reflection of the heart and soul our team pours into each drink. This recognition fuels our passion to continue pushing boundaries and exploring new dimensions in mixology. Our deepest gratitude goes to the community in Japan and the esteemed panel for their support and votes – it means the world to us.”

Uday Rao, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, adds: “VIRTÙ embodies the dynamic spirit of Tokyo – an elegant blend of tradition and innovation. Keith and his team have created a place where every detail matters, and this recognition is a celebration of their creativity and craftsmanship. It’s an exciting moment not only for the bar but for the entire Four Seasons family.”

With its ranking at #42 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list, VIRTÙ continues its journey of redefining the bar experience. Guests can expect even more groundbreaking creations as the team pushes the boundaries of mixology, with Tokyo as its backdrop and the world as its stage.

VIRTÙ stands alongside its distinguished sister bar, BKK Social Club at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River. Under the leadership of Philip Bischoff, known for his expertise and creative flair, BKK Social Club has earned its place at #12 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list. Famed for its bespoke cocktails, craft spirits, and vibrant atmosphere inspired by the glamour of Buenos Aires, BKK Social Club has become a landmark in Bangkok’s bar scene, offering guests an unforgettable experience. The bar’s unique setting, with semi-outdoor courtyards and a sophisticated cigar lounge, perfectly complements its crafted beverage offerings.

This recognition continues the strong legacy of Four Seasons bars, further underlined by the appearance of both BKK Social Club and VIRTÙ on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024. Earlier this year, BKK Social Club secured the #7 spot, while VIRTÙ was honoured at #11. Together, they embody Four Seasons’ commitment to creating world-class beverage experiences.
