Bloomberg is reporting that only around a quarter of US hotels offer guests electric car chargers.

Although an increasing number of electric vehicle (EV) charging locations are appearing throughout the United States, even being integrated into gas stations, the availability of EV chargers in US hotels remains limited. A survey conducted in 2022, which encompassed 17,000 US hotels, revealed that only about 25% of them furnish access to EV chargers. In situations where hotels do provide EV charging stations, some might only have a solitary charger accessible or the capability to accommodate a restricted range of EV models. Given the growing adoption of electric cars among Americans, hotels will need to incorporate EV charging into their offerings as a standard amenity, according to the Chief Operating Officer of a US-based hotel chain.
