This includes platforms such as social media, digital platforms, connected TV, in-store radio, and Tesco magazine.
As per the agreement, Vauxhall branding will be featured on electric vehicle charging points in Tesco car parks to bolster its Electric Streets campaign. This partnership encompasses a total of 2,700 electric vehicle charging bays across 619 Tesco stores nationwide. Additionally, individuals purchasing a new Vauxhall EV will receive 12 months of free EV charging credit at Tesco stores.
Simon Lonsdale, the media strategy director at Tesco Media and Insight, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the unique advertising opportunities offered by retail media. He highlighted Tesco’s extensive network of EV charge points, aligning well with Vauxhall’s goal of increasing the accessibility of electric vehicles.
Phil Douglass, the marketing director at Vauxhall Motors, underscored the opportunity to leverage Tesco’s channels to effectively communicate with audiences across the UK, instilling confidence in consumers. He reiterated Vauxhall’s commitment to promoting electric mobility through initiatives like Electric Streets, which includes offering free charging at Tesco stores to new EV customers for a year.
