StarbucksStarbucks is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) charging services in Scotland by partnering with FOR:EV, an Edinburgh-based charging infrastructure provider. The collaboration will bring rapid charging stations to four Starbucks branches in the region.
Installation of these charging stations has been completed at Starbucks locations in Livingston and Dunfermline, and work is scheduled to begin at two additional sites in Galashiels and Blairgowrie later in November.
The Livingston, Dunfermline, and Galashiels locations will feature ultra-rapid 150kW C Series chargers, while 100kW rapid chargers will be installed at Blairgowrie. These installations are part of FOR:EV’s ongoing partnership with the site owners, Mungo Park and the Geddes SIPP, to develop EV charging hubs at various retail and hospitality locations in Scotland in the future.
Calum Wallace, Senior Business Development Manager at FOR:EV, emphasized the importance of this infrastructure, stating that the new ultra-rapid charging points at Starbucks sites in Scotland are highly welcomed, especially as EV ownership is on the rise. These charging points will make it convenient for EV owners to quickly recharge their vehicles while enjoying a coffee.
FOR:EV aims to establish a network of more than 1,700 EV charging points at 600 public sites throughout Scotland and the UK, with a focus on public destination charging points. The company is eager to partner with single-site and multi-site landowners, as well as local authorities, to achieve this goal.
