SFO Introduces ‘San Fran-disco’: A Silent Disco Experience for Travelers

San Francisco International Airport (SFO), which initiated its “Quiet Airport” initiative in 2018 to mitigate terminal noise, has unveiled the introduction of a Silent Disco experience. This unique event, named “San Fran-disco,” invites travelers to groove to San Francisco-themed music using their personal headphones. The silent dance party will take place from February 14th to March 15th, 2024, within the post-security area of Harvey Milk Terminal 1.

To participate, follow these steps:

1. Head to the SFO “San Fran-disco” dance floor, located post-security in Harvey Milk Terminal 1 near the Johnston & Murphy store (spot the disco ball!).
2. Connect your headphones to your mobile device.
3. Log in to SFO’s fast and complimentary Wi-Fi network: #SFO Silent Disco.
4. Press play to start dancing to a curated playlist featuring songs with ties to San Francisco!
