Sezzle, a leading Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution, introduces Payment Streaks, a new feature aimed at rewarding consumers for consistent and timely payments. This free loyalty tier program allows users to progress through tiers by making on-time payments, highlighting Sezzle’s dedication to enhancing customer experience and promoting financial responsibility.

Payment Streaks utilizes a gamified approach to encourage responsible payment behavior. Each successful payment made on or before its due date contributes to the user’s payment streak. Accumulating streaks within a rolling 90-day period qualifies users for advancement to higher loyalty tiers.

Charlie Youakim, CEO and Co-Founder of Sezzle, explained, “Our Payment Streaks feature aims to recognize consumers for their commitment to financial responsibility. Timely payments are crucial for building trust and credibility, and this program incentivizes and acknowledges users for meeting their payment obligations.”

Key aspects of Payment Streaks include:

  • Each eligible payment made on or before its scheduled due date counts as one “streak.”
  • Users progress to the next loyalty tier after achieving the required streak count within the rolling 90-day period.
  • Users can rectify failed payments on the same day to maintain their current loyalty tier.

Ineligible payments for streaks encompass failed, resolved, or rescheduled payments, payments on refunded or canceled orders, payments charged back by banks, and long-term financing payments.

The Payment Streaks initiative provides various advantages to users, such as participation in monthly giveaways and bonuses for referring friends to Sezzle. To explore the specific benefits linked to each loyalty tier, users can visit the Payment Streaks page within the Sezzle app’s Shop tab and select “Compare Benefits.”

Payment Streaks are currently exclusive to U.S. shoppers through the Sezzle mobile app, with access for Canadian users expected later this year. Users are automatically enrolled in Sezzle’s Loyalty Tiers program upon opening a Sezzle Account or utilizing Sezzle Services.
