GLOOman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir has introduced a new subscription-based travel product called mOVemore, designed to give frequent flyers flexible, affordable access to its network of domestic and GCC destinations.
The mOVemore membership program allows travellers to subscribe to monthly or bi-monthly plans, offering the freedom to choose between six or twelve one-way or return flights, depending on their travel frequency and needs. Members benefit from a fixed fare, ensuring that prices remain constant regardless of market fluctuations — a major advantage for cost-conscious travellers.
Under the new model, customers can secure predictable travel costs and enjoy added benefits such as discounted access to priority check-in services, a 20kg baggage allowance, and simplified booking through the SalamAir website and mobile app.
For example, subscribers opting for 12 domestic trips can pay as little as OMR 9.9 per flight (excluding taxes), with that rate guaranteed throughout the subscription period.
“mOVemore is a first-of-its-kind solution for frequent travellers in Oman,” said Steven Allen, Chief Commercial Officer of SalamAir. “It’s designed to reward our passengers by reducing their travel costs and removing the uncertainty that comes with fluctuating airfares. Rather than collecting points that can be difficult to redeem, members enjoy flat-rate pricing and predictable travel options — whether for business, family visits, study, or leisure.”
Allen added that SalamAir’s ongoing fleet expansion — expected to reach 25 aircraft by 2028 — will enable the airline to extend the mOVemore offering to additional destinations across the region.
The program has been developed in partnership with Caravelo, a Barcelona-based travel technology company that specialises in subscription models for airlines. Caravelo has partnered with several global carriers to launch similar products aimed at boosting loyalty and generating stable recurring revenue streams.
“We’re delighted to collaborate with SalamAir to bring subscription travel to Oman,” said Iñaki Uriz, Chief Executive Officer of Caravelo. “The Middle East represents a rapidly growing market for flight subscriptions, and SalamAir’s mOVemore program demonstrates how airlines can enhance customer loyalty while providing real, tangible value.”
The introduction of mOVemore marks another step in SalamAir’s digital innovation strategy, following recent initiatives to streamline online bookings and expand regional connectivity. The airline continues to position itself as a value-driven, tech-forward carrier focused on affordability and convenience for both leisure and business travellers.
