Revlon is making bold moves to reshape its future, starting at the top of its tech stack. The beauty giant has appointed Ralph Marshall as its new Chief Information and Digital Officer, effective 1 April. He’ll report directly to CEO Michelle Peluso, who joined the company from CVS Health last year.

Marshall steps in as Paul Smith, Revlon’s current CIO, prepares to exit the role in the coming weeks. The company hasn’t provided additional details regarding Smith’s departure.

A veteran in digital transformation, Marshall brings serious firepower to Revlon’s leadership team. His résumé includes executive technology roles at Merlin Entertainments, Starbucks, McDonald’s, and Nando’s, with a track record of driving innovation at scale across global markets.

“Ralph brings a powerful combination of technical depth, international experience, and a passion for developing teams,” Peluso shared in a statement. “He understands how to harness technology to elevate the consumer experience—an essential focus as we chart Revlon’s next phase of growth.”

While at Starbucks, Marshall led technology strategy across EMEA and helped roll out Starbucks Digital Solutions in 86 markets—from Asia Pacific to Latin America—enhancing everything from loyalty programmes to digital payments.

Tech-Focused Revlon Enters Its Next Chapter

Marshall’s appointment reflects Revlon’s continued emphasis on innovation, digital strategy, and operational excellence since emerging from bankruptcy in 2023. The brand shed over $2.7 billion in debt and has since repositioned itself as a private company with a modern growth agenda.

Part of that transformation includes physical innovation too. Revlon recently moved its science and R&D operationsinto a newly built 62,000-square-foot facility at the Northeast Science and Technology Center. The expanded lab space is set to fuel future product development, combining research, pilot manufacturing, and office functions under one roof.

With Marshall on board and its innovation lab firing on all cylinders, Revlon looks poised to rewrite its story—not just as a legacy beauty brand, but as a digitally driven force for the future.
