GLORadisson Hotel Group has inked its inaugural deal for serviced apartments in the UK, targeting a launch in Glasgow by 2027.
Positioned at 90/96 Maxwell Street and 40 Fox Street in Glasgow’s city center, the project will encompass a blend of studio and one-bedroom apartments alongside amenities such as a rooftop bar and lounge, a restaurant, gym facilities, and meeting spaces.
This venture represents Radisson’s debut in the UK’s serviced apartment sector, adding to its existing portfolio of 37 hotel and serviced apartment properties worldwide.
Adela Cristea, Vice President of Business Development for the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics at Radisson Hotel Group, expressed enthusiasm about the development, stating, “This marks a significant milestone for Radisson Hotel Group as we venture into the UK serviced apartment landscape. We are delighted to introduce this concept in Glasgow, adding another dimension to our renowned Radisson RED and Radisson Blu properties, which already have a strong presence in this vibrant city.”
In recent years, Radisson has unveiled ambitious strategies to bolster its serviced apartment offerings across the EMEA region. In 2021, the company announced plans to nearly triple its serviced apartment portfolio in the region over the ensuing five years, with a specific focus on Eastern and Southeastern Europe as emerging growth markets for this segment.
