A New Benchmark in Luxury Travel

Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest independent hotel brand, has raised the bar for experiential luxury with its 2025 Live Like a Legend collection — a series of one-of-a-kind global journeys designed to immerse travellers in moments of rare access and authenticity.

CEO Lindsey Ueberroth described the initiative as a way for guests to “immerse themselves in rare and transformative journeys… with the type of exclusive access that only our Legend Collection hotels can provide.” The experiences align with insights from The Luxury Travel Report 2025, which highlights a growing demand for “legacy moments” — once-in-a-lifetime experiences that leave lasting impressions and emotional connections.

Why It Matters

The Live Like a Legend series marks a shift from traditional five-star stays toward curated luxury adventures emphasizing meaning, exclusivity, and storytelling. The Luxury Travel Report 2025 notes that 61% of affluent travellers see “once-in-a-lifetime” moments as the pinnacle of indulgence, while 80% believe insider connections deliver the most unforgettable experiences.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts is tapping into that demand, turning its Legend Collection properties into portals for the extraordinary — whether that means a private fashion-week fitting in Milan, a secluded Caribbean island escape, or front-row access to Mardi Gras.

GLO Take:

Preferred Hotels & Resorts is redefining what ultra-luxury travel means for 2025 and beyond. These experiences go far beyond lavish amenities — they’re about crafting stories money can’t easily buy. The brand’s emphasis on access, intimacy, and transformation reflects where high-end travel is heading: away from status, and toward substance.

For travellers seeking not just luxury but legacy, Live Like a Legend positions Preferred Hotels & Resorts as both a curator and a connector of life-changing moments. The only question left is how far other hotel brands will go to keep up.
