AmadeusOutpayce, a subsidiary of Amadeus, has joined forces with one of the world’s top network airlines to develop a fully automated reconciliation system designed to significantly boost back-office efficiency for airline operators.
After several years of intensive co-development and collaboration, the partner airline is now expanding its use of Outpayce’s Reconciliation module across its entire network. In parallel, Outpayce is rolling out this innovative solution to the broader airline industry.
The system leverages Outpayce’s native, real-time access to both airline sales and payment capture data, delivering a unified and automated reconciliation process. By seamlessly matching sales with corresponding payments, the platform ensures a clear, accurate, and reliable financial overview that enhances accounting precision.
Thanks to rich data integration and intelligent matching algorithms, the system achieves best-in-class reconciliation performance. It not only matches transactions with high accuracy but also identifies anomalies and tracks chargeback statuses—enabling faster response times and stronger revenue protection.
For example, airlines can quickly pinpoint unpaid tickets and take corrective action before passengers board without payment. Finance teams benefit from increased visibility into cash flows, making it easier to identify and resolve discrepancies, ultimately strengthening financial reporting and control.
Jean-Christophe Lacour, SVP & Global Head of Product Management and Delivery at Outpayce, commented:
“By working closely with our airline partners, we’ve been able to completely rethink the reconciliation process. We’re proud to offer this transformative solution to the broader aviation sector. Automating reconciliation is a major milestone in our mission to deliver a comprehensive suite for payment optimisation across the industry. At Outpayce, we’re committed to solving the toughest challenges in airline payments, including complex issues like reconciliation.”
The new Reconciliation module is delivered via Outpayce’s award-winning Xchange Payments Platform, already trusted by major airlines to manage global payment flows. The platform intelligently routes each transaction to optimise approval rates, reduce fraud, and ensure cost-effective processing.
