Olo, a provider of digital ordering systems for restaurant brands, has launched a new feature, Loyalty for Borderless Accounts.

The feature integrates with Olo’s guest checkout solution, allowing customers to earn and redeem rewards across any participating brand.

The update is part of a suite of new capabilities designed to help restaurant brands drive traffic, increase revenue, enhance customer experience and streamline operations.

Loyalty for Borderless Accounts enables guests to link their loyalty accounts to Olo’s Borderless solution, simplifying the checkout process by removing the need for passwords and manual credit card entries.

This integration will boost conversion rates, raise visit frequency for restaurants, improve guest retention, and provide more customer data.

Olo chief operating officer Jo Lambert said: “Loyalty for Borderless accounts allows our customers and their guests to take advantage of our exceptionally convenient checkout process while unifying rewards from their loyalty provider that keep them coming back for more.

“This feature and the 18 other cutting-edge capabilities launched this quarter further enhance Olo’s three solution suites, designed to seamlessly work together as part of a larger flywheel to accelerate hospitality and business growth.”

In 2024 Olo has also introduced additional enhancements, including marketing A/B testing for email campaigns, which allows brands to test and optimise their email marketing strategies.

The catering plus order management feature has been designed to retain high-value guests by offering discounts on catering orders and streamlining payment processes.

The order with Google-enhanced redirect update ensures real-time updates for Google’s redirected ordering experience, improving direct order volumes and guest data collection.

The POS [point-of-sale] menu builder facilitates the import of digital menus into Olo’s platform, reducing onboarding times and easing the launch of new menu items.

Olo launched its Olo Connect in 2023 to expedite innovation in the restaurant sector.

“Olo introduces loyalty feature to enhance restaurant guest experience” was originally created and published by Verdict Food Service, a GlobalData owned brand.
