The market is flooded with numerous customer loyalty programs, each operating in diverse ways but sharing the common goal of rewarding consistent purchases from a specific brand. Although these programs span a wide range of consumer products and services, they might appear quite similar at first glance. Distinguishing between valuable and less beneficial loyalty programs can be challenging.

In an effort to simplify this evaluation, Newsweek has once again collaborated with the global data research firm Statista to identify America’s Best Loyalty Programs for 2023. This year, a survey involving over 4,000 U.S. loyalty program members was conducted. Participants were asked various questions, including their opinions on programs that provide valuable rewards, satisfaction levels, and recommendations to friends and family.

In total, 239 loyalty programs spanning 32 categories in 11 sectors were rated, encompassing areas such as apparel, banking, grocery stores, restaurants, and travel. Among these, supermarkets had the highest number of top-rated rewards programs with 25, followed by 20 each in clothing and fast food.

Loyalty programs serve as a significant battleground for brands aiming to attract consumers. The ranking provided by Newsweek aims to aid individuals in identifying loyalty programs that align with their shopping habits, preferences, and needs.
