Marriott Bonvoy has been named the Official Hotel Supporter in North America for the FIFA World Cup 2026, marking a major partnership as the world’s most-watched sporting event returns to the region for the first time in 32 years.

With the tournament jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States, Marriott Bonvoy will serve as a central hospitality platform for fans travelling across all three nations. Leveraging its portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, the loyalty programme aims to provide a welcoming home base for millions of supporters attending matches and events throughout June and July 2026.

Throughout the tournament, Marriott Bonvoy will offer fans privileged access to the FIFA World Cup experience through immersive hotel stays, exclusive Marriott Bonvoy Moments, curated travel packages, limited-edition drops and on-property activations. With dozens of hotels located in and around each of the 16 host cities, Marriott Bonvoy will accompany fans at every stage of their journey — from arrival and matchday to post-game celebrations and cultural exploration.

Peggy Roe, Chief Customer Officer at Marriott International, said the partnership reflects the shared power of sport and travel to bring people together. She noted that the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be a defining moment for millions of fans worldwide, and that Marriott Bonvoy is uniquely positioned to help turn those moments into lifelong memories by offering meaningful experiences that go beyond accommodation.

FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström welcomed Marriott Bonvoy as a key supporter of the tournament, highlighting the importance of having a broad and reliable hotel network across all host countries. He added that Marriott’s presence will help accommodate record numbers of domestic and international visitors, enhancing the overall fan experience both inside stadiums and at FIFA Fan Festivals.

Marriott Bonvoy’s role extends beyond North America. In parallel with its FIFA World Cup 2026 support, the brand will collaborate with Visa — a long-standing FIFA partner — to engage fans and travellers globally, delivering unique customer experiences inspired by the tournament across multiple markets.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to be the largest edition in the tournament’s history. It will feature 48 national teams competing across 104 matches in 16 host cities, with more than six million fans expected to attend in person and an estimated six billion people engaging worldwide. The expanded format and tri-nation hosting model mark a new era for global football, positioning North America at the heart of the world’s game from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19, 2026.

With its global footprint spanning 143 countries and territories, a powerful loyalty ecosystem, and a growing portfolio of experiential travel offerings, Marriott Bonvoy is poised to play a central role in how fans experience this landmark sporting event — on the road, at the stadium, and beyond.
