Jumeirah Privé has unveiled a remarkable new addition to its elite portfolio with the introduction of The Maltese Falcon, one of the world’s most celebrated sailing superyachts. Synonymous with innovation, privacy, and refined adventure, the award-winning vessel brings a new dimension to ultra-luxury travel, delivering bespoke yachting experiences across the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

Owned by Dubai Holding, Jumeirah—internationally recognised for its warm Arabian hospitality and landmark properties—has formally entered the realm of superyachting through this milestone collaboration. The 88-metre Maltese Falcon now stands alongside Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania as only the second destination within the highly curated Jumeirah Privé collection, created for travellers who value discretion, exclusivity, and deeply personalised experiences.

Originally launched in 2006 by renowned Italian shipyard Perini Navi, Maltese Falcon quickly redefined modern sailing yachts. The vessel has earned more than 18 international awards for its pioneering design and engineering, most notably its revolutionary DynaRig sailing system. Featuring three free-standing carbon-fibre masts, the system can unfurl an impressive 2,400 square metres of sail in under six minutes, allowing the yacht to achieve remarkable speed with reduced environmental impact and enhanced efficiency.

Following a comprehensive refit at the Lusben shipyard in Italy, the yacht has been meticulously upgraded for contemporary luxury living. Enhancements include restored teak decks, redesigned guest cabins with new en-suite bathrooms, a fully modernised galley, and energy-efficient LED lighting throughout. Accommodation is offered for up to 12 guests, highlighted by a full-beam master suite, four elegant double cabins, and a standout VIP suite with its own private flybridge terrace. A dramatic three-level atrium spirals around the central mast, creating a striking architectural focal point rarely seen at sea.

Onboard leisure and wellness facilities rival those of the world’s most exclusive resorts. Guests can enjoy an open-air cinema beneath the sails, a rotating sunbed on the flybridge, and a dedicated wellness studio complete with a massage room and advanced fitness equipment. The yacht also carries an extensive collection of water toys, including jet skis, JetSurfs, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkelling gear, and more—designed to maximise enjoyment both on and off the water.

True to Jumeirah’s ethos, the experience aboard Maltese Falcon is elevated by intuitive service, curated wellness rituals, and fine dining inspired by global flavours and Middle Eastern generosity. Commenting on the launch, Jumeirah Group CEO Thomas B. Meier described the yacht as “a defining moment for Jumeirah Privé,” noting that it extends the brand’s philosophy of privacy, exclusivity, and heartfelt hospitality into the world of luxury yachting.

The yacht’s inaugural Jumeirah Privé itineraries begin in December 2025, launching from Antigua before exploring sought-after Caribbean destinations such as The Bahamas, St. Martin, and St. Barthélemy during the winter season. Summer voyages will span the Mediterranean’s most iconic coastlines, including the Balearic Islands, French Riviera, Monaco, Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Türkiye.

This partnership reflects Jumeirah’s broader growth strategy, which aims to responsibly double its global footprint by 2030 through immersive, experience-led offerings across its Icons, Hotels & Resorts, Residences, and Privé collections.

For travellers seeking a rare fusion of cutting-edge sailing innovation and timeless hospitality, The Maltese Falconoffers more than a journey—it promises a private, floating retreat where luxury, freedom, and discovery converge.
