IndiGo, India’s premier airline, is responding to the growing demand for travel during the upcoming festive and holiday season by introducing new domestic flights.

Recently, IndiGo added more flights on the Chennai-Pune route and simultaneously launched flights between Pune and Rajkot. Furthermore, starting from October 2, 2023, they will commence flights between Pune and Hirasar. To accommodate leisure travelers, IndiGo has rescheduled the Pune-Mangaluru and Pune-Vishakhapatnam red-eye flights and initiated operations on routes like Pune-Vadodara, Mangaluru-Bengaluru, and Bengaluru-Raipur.

These additional flight options will improve accessibility and provide more choices for travelers journeying between various states and regions.

Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, remarked, “We are witnessing a surge in travel demand for the upcoming holiday season, especially from regional centers. To meet this demand, we have added new flights on different routes. Our daily flight count has recently crossed 1900, and with these new additions, we are expanding our services to offer affordable and convenient connectivity to our customers.”

The increased connectivity to Pune caters to the high demand for travel from both business and leisure travelers within the state.

IndiGo has been steadily expanding its presence in Pune over the years, and a significant portion of these new routes is operated by the airline due to its extensive domestic network.

In the coming months, India will celebrate various festivals that hold significance across the diverse nation, including Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri – Durga Puja, Dussehra, and several national holidays. The travel and tourism industry is gearing up for increased passenger traffic during this period.
