hoppaGo, the global leader in ground-transportation marketplaces, and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) have deepened their strategic collaboration to redefine how passengers connect from air to ground. This enhanced partnership, building upon ride-hailing and pre-booked services introduced in September 2024, now adds an integrated rail booking feature directly into the SAS digital experience. Effective June 30, 2025, travellers can book train tickets across more than 70 countries in just minutes via the SAS website. The system taps into a network of over 2,000 train carriers, including well-known services like Heathrow Express, Arlanda Express, TransPennine Express, Italo, and Renfe Viajeros.

A Smart, Passenger-First Solution

Powered by hoppaGo’s cutting‑edge SaaS platform, this integration streamlines the journey from initial flight booking to final destination. Unlike traditional one‑off booking flows, hoppaGo’s system delivers intelligent, multi‑touchpoint offers—presenting ground transport options via post‑booking emails and on‑demand prompts at the most opportune moments. As a result, SAS is helping passengers avoid long queues and disjointed transfers by offering ride‑hailing, private transfers, and rail choices in a unified booking experience

Passengers now enjoy complete “first‑mile, last‑mile” flexibility—from executive vehicles to budget train tickets—all found in one place ﹘ a true door‑to‑door solution

Why It Matters

  • Efficiency & Ease: By consolidating air, rail, and ride options into one seamless system, travellers save time and avoid the hassles of juggling multiple platforms.

  • Expanded Choice: The integration means access to thousands of ride providers and rail options across the globe, all curated to match each traveller’s preferences and needs.

  • Revenue & Satisfaction: hoppaGo’s tech-driven approach delivers tailored upsell opportunities and enhances SAS’s revenue potential while improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Voices from the Partnership

Chris Harrington, Managing Director at hoppaGo, emphasized their mission:

“Embedding our rail, transfer, and ride‑hailing network into the SAS journey doesn’t just give unparalleled choice—it strengthens the service offering, enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sustainable revenue growth.”

Caroline Bergström, Head of Ancillary Products and Retail at SAS, echoed the sentiment:

“Our goal is to offer passengers the most convenient, integrated, and reliable travel experience. hoppaGo’s marketplace aligns perfectly with this vision, allowing us to deliver a truly seamless door‑to‑door journey—reinforcing our commitment to innovation and operational excellence.”
