Available starting today and with new features coming throughout the summer, the latest app update, Fly Delta 7.0, includes a lineup of new features designed to simplify and empower your journey even further – whether you’re shopping for flights, selecting your Choice Benefits, or staying informed during your travel day.

Select and use your Choice Benefits easily through the app

Beginning June 1, Choice Benefit selection will exclusively be available through the Fly Delta app, making it easier than ever for Diamond and Platinum Medallion Members to unlock the benefits of their loyalty with Delta.

More than 97% of SkyMiles Medallion Members use the app to manage their day-of travel experience.

On average, 85% of SkyMiles Members use the Fly Delta app when traveling.

Link your SkyMiles account to leading partners to accelerate how you earn

Through Delta’s new exclusive partnership with Uber, you can now earn miles on rides to and from the airport (as well as premium rides, Uber Reserve rides and Uber Eats orders over $40). Link your accounts via the Fly Delta app to reserve a future ride and earn on your next trip.  Limited to U.S. rides/deliveries, terms apply.

Real-time flight updates and proactive support for your day of travel

Live Activities coming to Fly Delta for iOS – including a notification when the boarding doors close

In the coming weeks, all Fly Delta users on the 7.0 version of the app will enjoy a new feature allowing them to see real-time flight updates right from their lock screen and dynamic island (iPhone 14 Pro+).  Users will see key events beginning three hours prior to departure — including pre-boarding, boarding, boarding doors closing (not just departure time), in-flight progress, and arrival. Stay on time and in-the-know with timely notifications.

*Only for users running iOS 16 and above. Not available for Android.

More timely updates

We know that travel can be unpredictable – and that’s why it’s important to maintain frequent, clear communication when things don’t go as planned. Throughout the summer we will be improving customer notifications and actions that will be more tailored to your unique travel circumstances, keeping you informed if you experience a travel disruption.

Fly Delta helps you prepare for international travel

Planning an international trip? Let the Fly Delta app help by alerting you to any missing documentation or tasks you need to complete for your travel (according to your destination), so you can journey overseas with the confidence – and credentials – you need.

Self-service capabilities for standby rebooking

Customers with the Fly Delta app can take control of their travel plans when the unexpected happens, starting this June. In the event of a travel disruption, Delta customers traveling on nonstop flights or on the last leg of their journeys will now be able to book themselves as standby passengers on an earlier flight departing within 24 hours before the originally confirmed flight (feature is limited to domestic travel only). This new feature puts customers in control during travel disruptions – with self-service tools, you can avoid calling agents or standing in lines, giving you greater flexibility and peace of mind.
