GLORobin Hayes, former CEO of JetBlue, has been chosen to take the helm at Airbus Americas starting June 3, following the retirement of current chairman and CEO Jeffrey Knittel. Airbus made the announcement on Monday, stating that Hayes will directly report to Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury. In his new position, Hayes will oversee the commercial aircraft division and manage coordination among Airbus’s helicopter, space, and defense businesses in North America. Hayes, who led JetBlue from 2015 until February 2024, brings extensive experience, having spent 19 years at British Airways in various senior executive roles. Additionally, he served as chair of the International Air Transport Association’s board of governors from 2020 to 2022.
