Dubai, UAE, 19 January 2026 – Emirates has announced a significant six-year partnership with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (HDDC), further strengthening the airline’s long-standing commitment to supporting golf in Dubai.
As the region’s longest-running tournament and among the most anticipated events on the sporting calendar, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic is the kick-off event of the DP World Tour’s prestigious Rolex Series. Since its inception in 1989, it has brought together some of the biggest names in golf on the iconic Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club. The tournament has evolved into a marquee fixture, attracting global attention and reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a premier destination for championship golf and its passionate following.
As part of the partnership, Emirates will benefit from extensive branding at the tournament’s grounds, including course signage, logo placements on scoreboards and buggies, spectator touchpoints, and digital visibility, to name a few. The airline will also offer premium hospitality, opportunities to participate in the tournament’s Pro-Am events as well as exclusive, ‘money-can’t-buy’ experiences for its guests.

The 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic is taking place from 22 to 25 January and will feature the world’s top players, including Grand Slam Champion and four-time winner of the event, Rory McIlroy, competing for a share of the USD $ 9 million prize.
