On May 3, 2025, Delta customers flying between Atlanta (ATL) and Santiago de Chile (SCL) will experience a new way to enjoy enhanced comfort and service in the skies as the airline introduces the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900. The new aircraft features four distinct product experiences: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.

Among the highlights is Delta Premium Select (DPS) — cabin between Delta One (Delta’s business class) and Comfort+ (economy class) that sits at the intersection of luxury and practicality, providing an elevated travel experience for customers who appreciate extra space, thoughtful service and elevated touches that make a big difference on long-haul flights.

The aircraft is part of Delta’s continued investment in Latin America, offering more travel options and a seamless journey for customers in the region.

“Delta is proud to offer a more premium, high-quality product for those traveling between Atlanta and Santiago, Chile. Our customers value comfort and great service, and Delta Premium Select is designed to deliver exactly that,” said Luciano Macagno, Delta Managing Director for Latin America, the Caribbean and South Florida.

On the Atlanta-Santiago route, the Airbus 350-900 will be equipped with 40 Delta Premium Select seats, which feature wider seating and additional recline compared to Main Cabin, with adjustable headrests and footrests. Customers will find more locally inspired dining and the exclusive option to pre-select onboard meals, like Delta One. To enhance in-flight comfort, customers will also receive soft blankets, memory foam pillows and artisan-made amenity kits from the Mexican brand Someone Somewhere.

DPS also offers customers:

  • Priority service from check-in to baggage claim with Sky Priority
  • Onboard service with extra touches: hot towels, welcome beverage, snacks, gourmet meals and more dedicated service
  • Unlimited entertainment: over 1,000 hours of free content on larger screens, including blockbuster movies, podcasts, live TV channels and series from partners like MasterClass and Paramount+
  • Wi-Fi: Stay Connected from Gate to Gate: Delta is expanding Delta Sync Wi-Fi to even more routes, including those serving South America — with full rollout expected later this spring. SkyMiles Members can enjoy instant internet access on multiple devices from the moment they board.

In addition to the 40 seats in Delta Premium Select, the A350-900 has three other seating options to suit different travel needs, with a total of 275 seats on board:

  • 40 seats in Delta One, Delta’s signature luxury cabin with lie-flat beds and personalized service
  • 36 seats in Delta Comfort+, with extra legroom and dedicated overhead bin space
  • 159 seats in Main Cabin, with thoughtful service and access to Delta’s award-winning in-flight entertainment

Santiago, a destination full of surprises
Surrounded by the Andes, Chile’s capital is the ideal starting point for all kinds of adventures. Just a short drive away, travelers can hit the slopes at world-class ski resorts in the Andes, taste wines at top-tier vineyards, or enjoy a sunset by the Pacific coast.

Santiago is also an emerging gastronomic capital. From contemporary Chilean cuisine to international flavors, its markets, restaurants and signature bars are an experience in themselves.

The capital is also the gateway to some of Chile’s most iconic destinations, like San Pedro de Atacama, where salt flats, geysers and star-filled skies await. To the south, the breathtaking peaks, glaciers and turquoise lakes of Torres del Paine National Park offer stunning trekking experiences.

Whether travelers crave desert silence or Patagonian wilderness, it all starts in Santiago. Delta offers year-round daily service connecting Atlanta and Santiago, with a second daily flight available during the year-end peak season. To book your flight, visit delta.com.
