Summer bookings reach new heights
When examining August reservations facilitated by the DidaTravel platform, there has been an impressive 214% surge compared to the previous year, indicating a robust resurgence in travel demand.
In the meantime, reservations for European destinations have experienced a noteworthy 123% rise in bookings year-on-year for the arrival periods of June, July, and August. Similarly, destinations within the APAC, Middle East & Africa, and the Americas have exhibited growth rates of 68%, 65%, and 16% respectively, all contributing to the global recovery.
The Average Daily Accommodation Rate (ADR) is on an upward trajectory. Globally, the ADR has escalated by 35% compared to the previous year, surpassing levels seen in 2019 by 7%.
Nevertheless, the APAC and the Americas are slightly trailing behind 2019 levels, showing ADR year-on-year increases of 55% and 14% respectively.
Conversely, Europe and the Middle East & Africa have exceeded 2019 ADR levels, with annual increases of 29% and 23% respectively, underscoring a substantial recovery in these regions.
Extended Advance Booking Window
Due to the easing of travel restrictions in the APAC region, travelers are demonstrating heightened confidence in reserving hotels well in advance. This trend has seen an increase to an average of 23 days ahead of time, compared to just 10 days during the same period in the previous year, and even surpassing the 21-day advance booking average from 2019.

“With the increasing confidence of travellers and the relaxation of travel restrictions in APAC, we expect the positive trend in hotel bookings to continue.
