Delta will expand its free WiFi to more than 400 Boeing 717s and regional aircraft starting in mid-2024.

The rollout on the carrier’s smaller jets will be enabled by a new agreement it has entered into with the connectivity provider Hughes, Delta announced Wednesday.

So far this year, Delta has equipped more than 600 domestic mainline planes with free WiFi as part of the Delta Synch initiative it began early in the year.

Delta has also said it plans to introduce free WiFi on its widebody planes next year.
