GLODelta Air Lines has recently opened a new premium check-in facility at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), located on the arrivals level of Terminal 3. This unique location offers potential advantages, such as reduced traffic on the lower roadway, making it more convenient for guests depending on the time of day. It is speculated that the facility was built on the arrivals level due to available space.
The facility provides added value for eligible travelers, even for those who need to check bags. It is staffed by elite services check-in agents and features a comfortable sitting area with amenities like refreshing towels, light food, and beverages. Additionally, there is a private TSA screening lane exclusively for guests using the facility, granting direct access to the Delta Sky Club.
In partnership with ArtLifting, a social enterprise supporting artists impacted by disability and housing insecurity, the check-in area showcases artwork from two local artists.
This dedicated Delta One check-in facility at LAX is the only one of its kind within Delta’s network. It is worth noting that LAX is a competitive airport, unlike many of Delta’s other hubs, which may explain the focus on providing enhanced services at this location.
While it is not the first time Delta has had a Delta One check-in facility at LAX, this new facility surpasses its predecessor in terms of quality and features.
The Delta One check-in facility at LAX is available to various groups of passengers, including Delta 360 members (Delta’s invitation-only status) regardless of their destination or cabin class, passengers with same-day Delta One tickets from LAX or connecting flights, and passengers with same-day SkyTeam first or business class tickets on transoceanic routes.
