IHG Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its presence in Texas with the opening of Hotel Indigo Irving – Las Colinas. The hotel marks the company’s 13th new property in the Lone Star State in 2024, joining other recent Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio openings including InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk and Kimpton Santo Hotel.

The 150-room hotel, developed and owned by Shree M Capital, is northwest of Dallas and a convenient 10-minute drive from Dallas Love Field airport (DAL). Situated along Mandalay Canal, the newest Hotel Indigo property serves as a gateway to the neighborhood of Las Colinas.

Just as no two neighborhoods are alike, no two Hotel Indigos are alike. Las Colinas was the brainchild of Texas rancher Ben Carpenter, whose curiosities were piqued by old-European charm. The unexpected juxtaposition of rodeo and renaissance can be felt throughout the entire stay experience. The building’s exterior features limestone detailing and thoughtfully curated landscaping that mirrors the striking contrasts found in Las Colinas.

Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by an expansive ceramic mockingbird installation, a vibrant ode to the Texas state bird. The front desk features over 150 hand-woven tiles made with natural materials, while ranch lasso-inspired pendant ring lighting adds a modern twist on Western heritage. The public spaces embrace a color palette drawn from dried grasslands, limestone, wildflowers, rust and steel. In the guestrooms, a woven headboard and hand-knotted rug pay homage to the textiles Carpenter encountered during his travels.

Carol Hoeller, Vice President, Global Brand Marketing for Hotel Indigo and voco hotels said, “We’re thrilled to open our doors in a neighborhood that celebrates culture and curiosity. Hotel Indigo Irving – Las Colinas beautifully blends the novel with the familiar, offering a unique escape that’s truly worlds away from the ordinary. Opening a Hotel Indigo here was a no-brainer, and we look forward to welcoming travelers to experience the unexpected both inside and outside the hotel.”

The neighborhood of Las Colinas is inspired not just by Europe, but by global influences. This is reflected in the hotel’s full-service restaurant and bar, KLEO, which offers a modern Mediterranean dining experience, and serves breakfast and dinner. Outside of the hotel, guests can find cuisine from every corner of the globe, with over 150 restaurants to choose from.

During their stay, guests can enjoy additional amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and pool garden with a bar overlooking the canal, a fitness center, and 5,400 square feet of meeting and event space.

Bhavin Patel, Owner, Shree M Capital said, “We are bringing a much-needed boutique stay to the heart of Las Colinas. The hotel’s design reflects the area’s rich corporate and cultural heritage. Every detail — from the design and décor to the flavors in our restaurant — offers a unique, local touch. We invite guests to experience an unforgettable stay and to discover the story of Las Colinas with every visit.”

As the World’s Neighborhood Hotel, Hotel Indigo ignites travelers’ curiosity to explore something new, and celebrates people, places and experiences that make the neighborhood one-of-a-kind. Las Colinas offers travelers a rich tapestry of experiences, especially during its lively festival season, when the city comes alive with multicultural art, exhibits, and events. One of the highlights is Canal Fest, a popular celebration of global cultures, offering a vibrant mix of food, music, and dance. Another must-see is the DFW Dragon Boat Festival, where you can witness thrilling dragon boat races while enjoying a lively display of traditional performances and cuisine.
