ONYX Hospitality Group has revealed plans to expand its serviced apartment brand, Shama, by adding five new properties across Asia, as stated in a recent announcement by the hotel group.

In a press release, the group acknowledges the rising demand for serviced apartments, particularly in the post-pandemic era, and expresses confidence that these new additions will cater to the needs of business, leisure, and the growing segment of 'Bleisure' travelers.

ONYX Hospitality Group has revealed plans to expand its serviced apartment brand, Shama, by adding five new properties across Asia, as stated in a recent announcement by the hotel group.

In a press release, the group acknowledges the rising demand for serviced apartments, particularly in the post-pandemic era, and expresses confidence that these new additions will cater to the needs of business, leisure, and the growing segment of ‘Bleisure’ travelers.

The ONYX Hospitality Group is set to introduce five new Shama properties, including two in China (including Hong Kong), two in Malaysia, and one in Thailand, all slated to open in 2024. Currently, the group manages 16 Shama locations, with six in Thailand and 10 in China (including six in Hong Kong).

The Shama properties scheduled for opening in 2024 are as follows: Shama Hub Metro South Hong Kong and Shama Hub Qiantang in China (including Hong Kong), Shama Luxe Sathorn in Thailand, and Shama Medini Malaysia and Shama Suasana Johor Bahru in Malaysia.
