Flight MH22 departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 at 11.45pm local time (MYT) on 22 March 2025 and arrived in Paris at 6.40am local time (CET), representing Malaysia Airlines’ 68th destination and reinforcing its position as the gateway to Asia and beyond.
To celebrate this milestone, a send-off event was held at the departure gate, where passengers received special goodie bags to commemorate the milestone. Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines from MAG, said, “The launch of our direct service to Paris marks a significant milestone for Malaysia Airlines as we expand our European footprint and reconnect Malaysia with one of the world’s most iconic destinations. This route not only strengthens our position as the gateway to Asia and beyond but also reflects the growing demand for seamless travel between Malaysia and France. In anticipation of this return, we introduced the ‘Time for Paris’ campaign last year, inviting travellers to rediscover the magic of the City of Light with Malaysia Airlines’ signature Malaysian Hospitality. We are thrilled to now bring this journey to life and look forward to welcoming passengers on board for a truly memorable travel experience.”
As part of this resumption, Malaysia Airlines also introduced the Time for Memorable Journeys Pocketbook for all passengers flying on this new route. The Paris edition, the first in an ongoing series, is designed to enhance the travel experience by providing useful tips for navigating the city with confidence. It includes essential information like local phrases, French etiquette, and insights into Parisian cuisine, helping travellers explore the city like locals and enjoy their journey.
As part of Malaysia Airlines’ commitment to enhancing global connectivity, its long-standing partnership with American Airlines further expands travel options for passengers flying to and from Paris and beyond. With the reinstatement of this route, passengers can now access four additional U.S. destinations from Paris via CDG including New York (JFK), Dallas (DFW), Miami (MIA), and Orlando (ORD), reinforcing Malaysia Airlines’ role in linking Europe with Asia and beyond.
