The Role: Vice President (VP) of Strategic Clients APAC and SE Asia
Ascenda is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Clients to join our Senior Leadership team in Australia, focusing on Southeast Asia and the broader APAC region. This critical role is designed for a dynamic leader who will manage and expand our relationships with key financial services and fintech partners while driving growth and operational excellence.
This position requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in rewards, loyalty programs, and customer success, who thrives in a high-growth, global environment. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, develop innovative partnership strategies, and deliver outstanding value to our partners and their customers.
Your Impact
- Spearhead and lead partner driven expansion initiatives, identifying opportunities to material grow relationships in scale and scope.
- Mobilize organization and lead efforts with partners on value proposition development and enhancements to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Lead partner expansion and renewal negotiations, ensuring long-term value for both Ascenda and our partners.
- Define, frame, and clearly articulate the value Ascenda delivers to partners, ensuring they recognize and understand the full impact and benefits of the partnership, while fostering alignment and collaboration.
- Champion the adoption of loyalty and performance marketing efforts to deepen relationships and drive measurable engagement.
- Identify revenue growth opportunities through upselling and cross-selling within the existing client portfolio.
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring timely service and delivery while maintaining the highest standards of client experience.
- Lead client negotiations, manage contracts, and oversee post-sales activities to maximize client retention and satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary relationship leader for strategic clients in the SE Asia and APAC regions, driving client success and satisfaction.
- Inspire and develop high-performing teams to meet ambitious goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to innovate and execute strategies that deliver value to clients and partners.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of experience in loyalty, rewards, or financial services, with a strong track record in APAC markets and hands-on experience crafting and launching loyalty programs and solutions.
- Demonstrated success in partnership management, customer success, or account leadership, including navigating complex negotiations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate and execute intricate commercial arrangements.
- A strategic leader who excels at motivating and developing teams, inspiring excellence at all levels.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally.
- Intellectually curious, innovative, and solutions-focused, with a drive to stay ahead of market trends.
- A collaborative and adaptable leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Willingness to travel to engage clients and partners across SE Asia and APAC.
