IHG Hotels & Resorts introduces voco Seoul Myeongdong to the city’s trendy business and shopping district, Myeongdong. This is the brand’s second property under its premium brand, voco hotels, in South Korea following the stylish voco Seoul Gangnam which opened in 2022.

IHG Hotels & Resorts introduces voco Seoul Myeongdong to the city’s trendy business and shopping district, Myeongdong. This is the brand’s second property under its premium brand, voco hotels, in South Korea following the stylish voco Seoul Gangnam which opened in 2022.

Each voco property is characterised by its individual charm, which provides guests with something unique while creating an inviting and unstuffy atmosphere for guests to truly unwind and feel at ease. Infused with charming personal touches and subtle Korean influences, voco Seoul Myeongdong is a great gateway to the Myeongdong district.

The property is inspired by Myeongdong’s dynamic streets and the precinct’s distinctive personality – inviting guests to immerse in the brand’s playful nature and enjoy delightful, uplifting voco experiences provided by our thoughtful hosts, ensuring that every stay is as memorable as the city itself.

Upon check in, guests will be greeted with a signature voco welcome treat that’s both unique and representative of the local area. At voco Seoul Myeongdong, guests will enjoy the traditional Korean dasik – a confectionary carefully prepared by the hotel’s pastry chef, made of locally sourced pumpkin and red bean. With red beans symbolising luck and protection, the Pumpkin & Red Bean Dasik represents the hotel’s wish for a safe and enjoyable journey for its guests and is encouraged to be paired with the array of traditional Korean tea available in guestrooms.

Located near cultural landmarks like Gyeongbokgong Palace and Namsan Tower, traditional markets like Namdaemun Traditional Market, and luxury department stores, voco Seoul Myeongdong is well-positioned to provide guests with the opportunity to explore the city and soak in the vibrant culture of Seoul.

The hotel’s 576 guestrooms and suites offer breathtaking views of Seoul’s contemporary cityscape or panoramic views of the Namsan Tower, pampering guests with well-deserved “me time”, where they can disconnect and lounge in plush beddings and savour the crisp, fresh air through their windows given the hotel’s proximity to the Namsan Mountain. Additional amenities include a 24-hour fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool, and a children’s pool.

The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant features a diverse buffet with fresh and seasonal ingredients, introducing guests to authentic flavours. Guests can look forward to delightful culinary “voco life” moments through social and intimate dining experiences that blend modern Korean and international cuisine.

The hotel also offers a function hall for up to 220 guests as well as four flexible meeting room spaces with natural daylight through floor-to-ceiling windows, the latest AV tech, and contemporary interiors – suitable for mid-scale conferences, events, and meetings. Guests can also choose to include club access and benefits into their stay, including exclusive access to the hotel’s Club Lounge, complimentary breakfast, as well as evening cocktails under the twinkling lights of Seoul’s cityscape.
