American Airlines has unveiled a fresh Admirals Club destination at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), elevating the luxury of your pre-flight relaxation.

This premium lounge, situated on the Mezzanine level of Terminal A, can accommodate up to 137 guests and offers stunning airside views of Newark’s runway in a lavish and stylish setting. Developed in collaboration with IA Architects, the latest Admirals Lounge draws inspiration from the culture and ecology of New Jersey, incorporating cherry blossoms from the renowned Branch Brook Park to create a “pavilion retreat” atmosphere while maintaining a contemporary touch.

Spanning over 7,000 square feet, travelers can find the lounge conveniently near gates A7 and A8, offering a variety of seating options, including café-style seating, booths, high-top tables, and communal seating. For members, there’s a business center that can accommodate up to five people, along with three semi-private workspaces and two phone pods for those on the move.

The opening of the Newark Admirals Club by American Airlines expands their presence to 50 airports globally. The airline expressed its excitement about this launch at Newark, highlighting its positive impact on the enhancement of their premium offerings.

In a statement, American Airlines stated, “Today, American Airlines opened its brand new Admirals Club in Newark International Airport for customers to enjoy on their journey. The lounge’s opening signals the continuation of the reimagined premium Admirals Club design for the largest airline in the world.”

Last year, American Airlines initiated a redesign of its Admirals Clubs, starting with the launch of one at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). This “multi-year project” represents a significant transformation for the lounges, with a focus on well-being and serenity. Clarissa Sebastian, American Airlines’ Managing Director of Premium Customer Experience, emphasized the incorporation of natural woods and open spaces to create a feeling of relaxation before travelers embark on their journeys.

There are also plans for additional new locations at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Denver International Airport (DEN).
