What’s New: Atmos Rewards Unveiled
-
Seamless Transition: Mileage Plan members are now automatically migrated to Atmos Rewards, retaining their accounts and benefits. One Mileage Plan or HawaiianMiles mile converts to one Atmos Rewards point, with point value unchanged and no expiration policy. HawaiianMiles members will transition on October 1, and accounts that were not previously linked will receive new account numbers.
-
Expanded Reach: Members can redeem rewards across more than 1,000 global destinations through Alaska, Hawaiian, and Oneworld alliance partners, starting from as low as 4,500 points one-way.
-
Choice-Based Earning: Starting later in 2026, Atmos Rewards becomes the first U.S. airline program that allows members to choose how they earn points—by distance flown, by dollars spent, or by segments flown. Members can switch their earning preference once per year.
Enhanced Elite Status & New Credit Card Perks
-
Status Adjustment: From 2026, earning thresholds for top tiers increase. Platinum status will require 80,000 status points (up from 75,000), while Titanium will require 135,000 (up from 100,000 elite-qualifying miles). Members qualifying based on 2025 activity will receive bonuses of 5,000 points for Platinum or 20,000 points for Titanium.
-
Titanium Elite Perks: Titanium members gain day-of-departure upgrades to lie-flat business class for themselves and a companion on long-haul routes, without requiring certificates. This makes Alaska the only U.S. airline offering such enhanced upgrade options globally.
-
Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite: A new premium credit card launched in partnership with Bank of America offers accelerated status points, annual Global Companion Awards, lounge access, and additional ways to boost elite status.
Connectivity Upgrade: Free Starlink Wi-Fi via T-Mobile
-
Starlink Rollout: Beginning in 2026, Alaska Airlines will start installing Starlink satellite Wi-Fi across its regional, narrow-body, and wide-body aircraft, with full implementation expected by 2027.
-
Faster, More Reliable Internet: Starlink brings high-speed, low-latency connectivity—up to 500 Mbps—enabling real-time messaging, streaming, and gaming even on long-haul flights.
-
Exclusive Access: Atmos Rewards members will enjoy free Wi-Fi. Alaska is partnering with T-Mobile to deliver seamless log-in for T-Mobile customers, with additional perks anticipated later in the year.
