GLOCondor, the German airline, is now codesharing with over 70 Alaska Airlines routes, marking a significant development in their ongoing collaboration. This expansion has transformed their codeshare arrangement into a two-way street. Earlier, Alaska had started labeling Condor flights from 12 U.S. gateways to Condor’s Frankfurt hub.
The recent progress comes after Condor unveiled its first lie-flat business-class seats earlier in the year. Nat Pieper, Alaska’s senior vice president, expressed great enthusiasm about Condor’s evolution, asserting their significant role in Alaska’s future strategies.
During the summer, Condor serviced 12 U.S. destinations, including New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and more. Additionally, they plan to introduce services to Miami and San Antonio next year.

The recent deepening of the partnership allows flyers to seamlessly access joint Alaska-Condor itineraries through various booking channels. This includes the convenience of issuing a single ticket for the entire journey, a departure from the previous practice of requiring two tickets.
Alaska’s decision to strengthen ties with Condor is closely associated with the significant aircraft upgrades that the leisure-oriented airline introduced earlier this year, launching their Airbus A330neos. Condor’s upcoming summer schedule will solely feature A330neos equipped with 30 lie-flat business-class seats, 65 premium economy seats, and an economy cabin, replacing the older Boeing 767 fleet.
Turtiainen, Condor’s director of sales for the Americas, highlighted the exceptional features of these new aircraft, emphasizing the transformation in the transatlantic flight experience that Condor now offers.
