Set to commence on 30 May 2025 with a frequency of four times weekly, the new route will fortify AAX’s position as the sole low-cost carrier in Malaysia to offer direct air connectivity to Karachi. This new route will serve as a major achievement in enhancing travel connections between Pakistan and Malaysia, both bustling nations with thriving economies with plenty of tourism and trade potential.
Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X said: “This connectivity is another testament to strong demand for great value medium-haul air travel across the region and we are grateful to the support we have received from the government in Pakistan, as well as our partners and stakeholders. We see tremendous potential for travel between these two cities, with the aim to fly more than 100,000 passengers annually on this route and with countless opportunities for travellers from Karachi to explore our key markets such as Australia, China, Thailand and more via our Fly-Thru services.”
