Air India will temporarily increase its flight services to Kolkata from four Indian cities to accommodate the heightened travel demand during the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations.

Durga Puja, a 10-day festival observed in the seventh month of the Hindu calendar, usually falls between September and October.

Starting from September 20, 2024, Air India will launch daily nonstop flights to Kolkata from Bengaluru and Hyderabad, running for nearly a month. Additionally, the airline has boosted its flight frequency to Kolkata from Delhi, effective August 15, and from Mumbai, starting September 25. With these adjustments, Air India will raise its weekly flights on the Delhi-Kolkata route from 28 to 35 and on the Mumbai-Kolkata route from 21 to 28.

Air India’s Kolkata-bound flights are also scheduled to allow smooth connections through its hubs in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to and from destinations in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and various countries in Europe and Southeast Asia.

Bookings for these additional flights are now progressively available across all platforms, including Air India’s website, mobile app, and through travel agents.
