Air Canada has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first airline globally to offer Disney+ Originals content through its inflight entertainment system. Travelers now have the opportunity to enjoy episodes of popular series like the Star Wars spin-off “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and season 1 of Marvel Studios’ “Loki” on all aircraft equipped with an inflight entertainment system.

In addition to these flagship titles, Air Canada passengers can access a variety of other Disney+ Originals content, including the series “Limitless” featuring Chris Hemsworth, “Cars on the Road,” “Zootopia+,” and movies such as “Disenchanted” and “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.”

This initiative builds upon recent collaborations between the Canadian national carrier and Disney, including a themed in-flight safety video showcasing the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, a specially themed children’s room at Toronto Pearson’s Transborder Maple Leaf Lounge, and the unveiling of a unique aircraft livery inspired by the movie “Turning Red.”

In 2019, Air Canada upgraded its inflight entertainment system, boosting available content by 50% on select aircraft. More recently, the airline introduced the Apple TV+ streaming service to its entertainment offerings, enabling passengers to enjoy series such as “The Morning Show,” “Ted Lasso,” “Bad Sisters,” and “Severance.”

John Moody, managing director of Product Design at Air Canada, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to bring Disney+ Original series and films to our inflight entertainment, further solidifying our expansive range of leading content. Families with kids and enthusiasts alike will enjoy watching familiar favorites and exciting new Originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. Taking in a Disney+ Original is a great way for our global customers to start or end their journey with us.”
