Aer Lingus has expanded its codeshare agreement with American Airlines, making it possible for customers to book a broader range of transatlantic flights through both airlines’ websites. As part of this expansion, travelers can now reserve flights with Aer Lingus or American Airlines for routes between Dublin and Philadelphia (PHL) as well as Dublin and Chicago (ORD).

This development offers enhanced travel options for individuals journeying from the UK to the US via Aer Lingus, providing greater flexibility for transatlantic travel. The existing codeshare partnership between these airlines, which was launched last year, already enables Aer Lingus customers to book direct flights from Dublin to Charlotte, North Carolina, and Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, with American Airlines through the Aer Lingus website.

Today’s announcement represents a significant advancement in Aer Lingus’ collaboration with American Airlines and its participation in the broader Atlantic Joint Business (AJB) partnership, which also includes American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia, and Finnair.

Customers flying with Aer Lingus can also book codeshare flights with American Airlines to reach various destinations, including Albuquerque, New Mexico (ABQ), Nashville, Tennessee (BNA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Las Vegas (LAS), Kansas City (MCI), Portland, Oregon (PDX), San Jose, California (SJC), Tampa, Florida (TPA), and Tucson, Arizona (TUS).

Aer Lingus became a part of the Atlantic Joint Business in 2020, and this integrated arrangement has delivered significant benefits to millions of passengers since its inception in 2010. These advantages include lower fares, access to more destinations, and better-aligned schedules and frequencies. For more information, please visit the Aer Lingus website at aerlingus.com.
