GLOAccor has reorganized its executive leadership roles as part of its move to create two business divisions, effective immediately, the company announced Tuesday.
Accor in July 2022 announced its plans to reorganize its business into two divisions: “Premium, Midscale & Economy” and “Luxury & Lifestyle.”
Accor Group deputy CEO Jean-Jacques Morin now heads the Premium, Midscale & Economy segment, which will be organized in four regions. Thomas Dubaere serves as CEO of the Americas, Patrick Mendes serves as CEO of Europe and North Africa, Duncan O’Rourke serves as CEO of the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Asia-Pacific, and Gary Rosen serves as CEO of Greater China.
Accor Group chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin heads up the Luxury & Lifestyle division, which is organized around four brand collections, including Raffles and Orient Express, Fairmont, Sofitel MGallery & Emblems and Ennismore, according to the company. Executive leadership under Bazin includes newly appointed Omer Acar as CEO of Raffles and Orient Express (effective March 1), Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems CEO Maud Bailly, Ennismore co-CEO Gaurav Bhushan and Fairmont CEO Mark Willis.
The two operational divisions, “with clearly identified expertise, ambitions and objectives, will enable Accor to leverage its portfolio of unique and diverse brands, leadership across most markets and unrivalled development momentum,” according to the company.
Both divisions are supported by a newly created group management board chaired by Bazin, and a “global shared platform,” that will support for both divisions’ functions, including technology and procurement. The board “ensures consistency and alignment between the two divisions, in terms of both the strategic priorities and performance levers,” according to the company.
