Accor Sees Modest Corporate Rate Increases for 2025, Business Travel Recovery Still Lagging

Corporate negotiated hotel rates at Accor properties have risen by low-to-mid single digits for 2025, in line with 2024 increases, Accor Group CFO Martine Gerow confirmed on Thursday. CEO Sébastien Bazin added that pricing remains stable across all geographies, with no signs of rate declines in corporate negotiations.

Corporate Travel Demand Still Below Pre-Pandemic Levels

While business travel demand continues to rebound, Accor’s corporate segment remains significantly lower than pre-Covid levels, according to Gerow. Long-haul international corporate travel remains the slowest segment to recover.

In 2024, Accor’s business mix was 60% leisure and 40% corporate, a complete reversal from pre-pandemic trends, where corporate demand previously dominated.

“2024 was a strong year for managed corporate rates, and 2025 negotiations are still ongoing, but we continue to see price increases,” Gerow said, reinforcing expectations for modest but steady rate hikes.

Luxury Expansion in the U.S., But No Plans for Budget Growth

While Accor continues to grow its luxury brands in the U.S. market, Bazin stated the company has no plans to expand lower-tier brands in the region due to the dominance of major U.S. hotel chains.

“It would be too much of a risk for Accor to expand in those segments within the heavily competitive U.S. market,” Bazin explained. However, he clarified that this does not apply to Accor’s luxury properties, which will continue to expand, including brands like Raffles, Sofitel, and Fairmont.

As Accor focuses on premium hospitality growth and steady corporate rate increases, business travel recovery remains a work in progress, with international corporate travel still lagging behind leisure demand.
