Canada’s travel rewards landscape is about to see a major upgrade with the arrival of the United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard — a new co-branded credit card designed to bring premium benefits, everyday rewards, and stronger earning power for flights with United Airlines and other Star Alliance carriers.

Launching in April 2026, this card marks a notable partnership between Calgary-based fintech Neo Financial and United Airlines, offering Canadian travelers a fresh way to earn valuable MileagePlus miles on both travel and daily spending.

Premium Travel Perks Built In

Cardholders can expect a suite of travel-friendly features straight from day one. Confirmed perks include:

  • Priority boarding on eligible United flights.

  • One free checked bag, a benefit that can offset typical luggage fees and simplify travel planning.

  • Accelerated miles on flights booked with United and other Star Alliance airlines — giving you more mileage for cross-continent and global trips.

Miles earned through the card are fully integrated into the MileagePlus program and can be redeemed for award travel across United’s extensive network and more than 20 partner airlines in the Star Alliance.

Earn More — Everyday and On the Go

Beyond flights, the card expands how Canadians can accumulate travel rewards:

  • Daily purchases and travel expenses earn miles — extending rewards beyond just tickets.

  • Through Neo’s domestic rewards ecosystem, cardmembers can earn accelerated miles at thousands of partner locations across Canada, including shops, dining spots, services, and more.

This blend of travel and everyday earning makes it easier for cardholders to rack up miles, whether they’re booking international flights or grabbing coffee on the way to the office.

Exclusive Welcome Offers for Early Adopters

To jump-start engagement, Neo Financial is inviting Canadians to join the waitlist ahead of the official rollout. The first 3,000 customers who sign up, activate their card, and make a qualifying purchase will receive an extra 5,000 MileagePlus bonus miles on top of the standard welcome offer — a valuable head start on future travel.

A New Option for Canadian Travelers

Until now, Canada’s co-branded airline credit card space has been dominated by a handful of domestic programs. The United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard changes that by giving Canadians direct access to a major U.S. airline loyalty program without needing a traditional bank-issued card.

With the ability to earn and redeem miles across one of the world’s largest airline alliances, plus premium travel benefits and opportunities to earn on everyday spending, this card presents an exciting new tool for frequent flyers and reward-focused consumers alike.
