Kayak for Business has launched an Events feature for Biz Plus and Enterprise customers, enabling companies to manage travel booking, payment and policy compliance for meetings and events. The tool supports bulk invites, virtual cards and real-time tracking, targeting a growing need to manage guest and non-profiled traveler bookings within a familiar, consumer-style platform.

Kayak for Business is stepping closer to the meetings and events space with the launch of a new Events booking feature for Biz Plus and Enterprise customers, reflecting a broader industry push to simplify group and guest travel management.

The new capability is not a full meetings management or planning tool. Instead, it focuses on one of the most complex parts of events: managing attendee travel booking, payments and policy compliance—particularly for travelers who are not part of a company’s regular corporate travel program.

According to the company, the Events feature can import event details from any meetings management platform that shares event data, or organizers can build events directly within Kayak for Business. Once an event is designated, the system triggers a dedicated travel booking workflow tied to that event.

Organizers can define travel policies and payment rules for different attendee types, such as internal employees with traveler profiles versus external guests like speakers, recruits or partners. Using a unique event link, organizers can invite up to 10,000 attendees, either individually or in bulk. Invitees then book flights, hotels and other travel through the standard Kayak for Business interface, with policies and payment controls applied automatically.

The platform supports virtual card payments, allowing organizers to centralize and control spend. Event leads can also set travel date windows, RSVP and booking deadlines, and track invitations, bookings and total spend through real-time dashboards. Changes, cancellations and reminders are handled within the same system.

“Coordinating travel logistics for business events can be a major productivity drain,” Kayak for Business SVP Eva Fouquet said in a statement, adding that the goal is to centralize event travel so organizers and attendees can focus on the value of in-person events.

Pricing for the feature varies based on company size and usage frequency, according to a Kayak spokesperson.

Kayak for Business joins a growing list of travel management companies targeting gaps in meetings and guest travel. Competitors including AmTrav with its Gather tool, Spotnana Events, and newer entrants such as Juno from Pana founder Devon Tivona and EmPath have all introduced solutions aimed at managing non-profiled travelers and group events.

What sets Kayak for Business apart, however, is that its Events feature is native to a platform already known for a consumer-style interface and strong brand recognition—an advantage as companies look to make business travel tools easier for occasional and external travelers to use.
