30 January 2026 – Etihad Guest, the award-winning loyalty programme of Etihad Airways, is celebrating a major milestone across India, as the airline welcomes five new heavyweight loyalty partners to its rapidly expanding programme. The partnership launch was celebrated last night at a glittering event in Mumbai, attended by partners, media and stars of Bollywood.

India is the fastest growing membership base for the airline’s Etihad Guest loyalty programme which now boasts more than 13 million members worldwide. With the programme adding over 250,000 new members a month, Etihad is maximising value for Indian based members with a host of new loyalty partners that reward members for their everyday lifestyle spending across shopping, dining and travel.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Etihad Airways, said: “India is one of the most important markets for Etihad, with 185 flights per week to 11 gateways across the country. As a result, we’re investing our efforts into significantly enriching the Etihad Guest programme for the growing number of members across the country and for our members who choose to visit this vibrant nation – and we’re excited to be the first international airline to expand our presence in such a meaningful way.

“We are proud to be partnering with five prestigious and renowned brands across India, including leading credit card BOBCARD, luxury hotel group The Postcard Hotel, major e-commerce marketplace Flipkart, India’s pioneering food and quick commerce platform Swiggy, and department store and retailer Shoppers Stop India. Integrating the programme into our members’ everyday lives showcases the value of the Etihad Guest programme for Indian consumers and makes it even more richly rewarding.”

Etihad and BOBCARD team up to launch new co-branded credit card

Etihad Guest and BOBCARD Limited, the credit card subsidiary of Bank of Baroda, announce a strategic collaboration to launch a new co-branded credit card that offers exceptional travel and lifestyle benefits for Indian travellers.

To celebrate the launch, new BOBCARD Etihad Guest members joining before 28 February will be rewarded with double joining welcome miles.

The BOBCARD Etihad Guest Credit Card is designed to empower Indian travellers with greater financial flexibility and world-class travel privileges. Through this alliance, Etihad Guest and BOBCARD aim to seamlessly connect everyday spending with elevated travel rewards – making international travel more rewarding and accessible than ever before.

The Postcard Hotel joins the Etihad Guest family

Acclaimed hoteliers, The Postcard Hotel, have launched a partnership with Etihad Guest, a first for a Middle Eastern carrier, that rewards luxury travel across the Indian Subcontinent. Through this collaboration, Etihad Guest members can now earn Miles every time they book and stay at any of The Postcard Hotel’s distinctive properties across India, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka, unlocking more rewarding ways to experience authentic, destination-led luxury.

The partnership brings together The Postcard Hotel’s signature brand of intimate luxury with Etihad Guest’s globally celebrated rewards programme and premium flying experience, offering travellers meaningful and memorable journeys. Etihad Guest members staying two or three nights at any Postcard property will earn 2,000 Miles, while those staying four nights or more will receive 4,000 Miles plus a complimentary night stay.

In a special launch promotion, Etihad will reward all members staying at The Postcard Hotel before 28 February with double Miles.

Joining forces with Flipkart

Etihad has entered into a strategic partnership with India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart, to benefit the millions of members across both loyalty programmes. The partnership, which will go live in the coming weeks, will allow Flipkart’s strong user base of more than 500 million to exchange their Supercoins for Etihad Guest Miles to redeem on a flight to their dream destination. Similarly, Etihad Guest members can also convert their Miles into Flipkart Supercoins to spend across the Flipkart ecosystem.

Delivering convenience for Etihad Guest members with Swiggy

Swiggy, India’s pioneering on-demand convenience platform with offerings across food delivery, quick commerce and dining out, has joined the programme too, delivering value to Etihad Guest members based across India, thanks to Swiggy’s footprint across more than 700 cities in India.

As a reward for their loyalty, existing Etihad Guest members will immediately benefit from six months complimentary Swiggy One membership, the country’s only membership programme offering benefits across food, quick commerce, and dining out.

Etihad Guest members will also soon be able to earn Miles on all spends across the Swiggy platform, rewarding members for everyday purchases that could quickly turn into a beautiful holiday to Abu Dhabi.

Shoppers Stop India turns shopping into holidays

Etihad is the first airline to partner with Shoppers Stop India, one of India’s largest department store retail chains. The retail giant offers more than 500 brands across fashion, beauty, accessories, fragrances, home décor and more, operating both traditional retail stores and online.

In celebration of the partnership, existing Etihad Guest members can opt in to enjoy one year complimentary Platinum status of Shoppers Stop First Citizen loyalty programme, in a first-of-its-kind promotion for Shoppers Stop, running until 15 February. In the coming months, Etihad Guest members will also be able to turn their shopping into flights by earning Etihad Guest Miles on spends with Shoppers Stop India.

Etihad Guest expansion in India further demonstrates Etihad’s commitment to the market

These five partnerships mark a major milestone in Etihad Airways’ continued investment in India, one of its fastest-growing international markets. This is attributed to the airline’s deepened engagement with Indian travellers seeking seamless, value-driven, and experience-rich journeys to Abu Dhabi and across global destinations.

From strategic partnerships with Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai City FC, to locally inspired and produced cuisine and Hindi-language digital experiences, Etihad is reaffirming its long-standing relationship with the Indian traveller.
