DeltaDelta is reaching new heights at New York’s LaGuardia Airport with the latest enhancements to its world-class Terminal C—part of the now-completed $4 billion transformation in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Operating more than 220 daily departures from LGA, Delta remains the airport’s largest carrier, offering extensive connections and a convenient travel option for New Yorkers on the go.
Named one of the top airports by Forbes Travel and recognized for the “World’s Best Art in the Airport,” by Skytrax, LaGuardia’s transformation celebrates New York’s cultural richness with curated installations by local artists and community-inspired exhibits throughout the terminal.
The fully modernized terminal continues to deliver greater comfort, efficiency and signature hospitality just in time for the busy summer travel season.
Check in, chill out
From the moment you step into Terminal C, it’s clear—LaGuardia has been completely reimagined for today’s traveler. TSA PreCheck Touchless ID (formerly Digital ID), available to eligible SkyMiles® Members enrolled in TSA PreCheck®, allows travelers to check bags and clear security using just a facial scan. That means fewer lines, fewer screens to touch, and more time to enjoy the airport experiences and amenities.
The terminal was designed with accessibility in mind, featuring thoughtful enhancements to support a more inclusive and comfortable experience for all travelers. Highlights include a quiet sensory room with a mock aircraft cabin designed to help travelers acclimate to the flying experience, marked pet relief areas in the terminal, and an interfaith chapel offering a peaceful space for reflection before or after takeoff.

Open air, elevated travel
One of Terminal C’s newest features is its outdoor sky deck—a refreshing addition to modern airport design. The terrace offers passengers sweeping views of the tarmac, planes taking off and landing, and a welcome breath of fresh air before boarding. It’s a unique space that brings a moment of calm and connection to the outdoors in the heart of the Big Apple.

A taste of the city
In true New York fashion, Terminal C takes dining seriously—and it shows. The dining lineup channels the city’s diverse culinary spirit, with local favorites like Bubby’s, Chuko Ramen, and King David Tacos. For a proper sit-down meal, Calista Taverna brings Greek flair, while Sunday Supper offers nostalgic Italian American comfort. Grab a pre-flight cocktail at Terrace Bar, brunch at Eggy Weggy or Poppy’s Bagels, or a late-night bite at Essex Burger or Rossi Pizzeria (developed with famed pizzaiolo Mark Iacono of Lucali). Authentic New York flavors are served from morning to midnight, conveniently located just steps from your gate.

A terminal that moves you
Terminal C offers form-meets-function in ways that feel distinctly New York. Centralized security reduces backtracking, and floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with natural light. Public art, curated in partnership with the Queens Museum, turns the terminal into a cultural reflective moment. There’s Rashid Johnson’s towering mosaic, Mariam Ghani’s ceramic tribute to the 700+ languages spoken across the region, and Aliza Nisenbaum’s portrait of airport and Delta employees who keep the terminal moving. Even the pendant lights, made from salvaged city skylights, feel like something creative New Yorkers would think to include.

A celebration of what’s next
Thanks to the strong partnership between Delta and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, travelers can now enjoy an enhanced terminal experience with exciting new features. Driven by the spirit of “Keep Climbing,” Delta is shaping the future of air travel in New York—delivering innovation and excellence from the terminal to takeoff.
