Riyadh AirTravelport has entered into a multi-year agreement to distribute New Distribution Capability (NDC) content for Riyadh Air, the new Saudi Arabian airline scheduled to begin operations in late 2025 or early 2026. The partnership will allow agencies connected to Travelport to access Riyadh Air’s full range of offers, including both NDC-enabled content and traditional fares.
Riyadh Air, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is being designed as a digitally driven, next-generation carrier. As part of this agreement, Travelport will integrate directly with the airline’s offer-and-order host system—technology that will support dynamic pricing, personalized offers and expanded ancillary services from day one.
The collaboration gives Riyadh Air immediate global distribution reach when it goes live. It also aligns with Travelport’s broader strategy to expand modern retailing capabilities and support airlines adopting NDC as their primary distribution method.
Riyadh Air has ambitious growth targets, with plans to operate more than 180 aircraft and serve 100 destinations by 2030. Executives at the airline say the partnership with Travelport strengthens its ability to scale quickly while delivering a consistent, high-quality retailing experience across markets.
For Travelport-connected travel agencies and corporate travel programs, the agreement means easier access to the airline’s fares, streamlined comparison shopping and enhanced access to ancillary products through NDC.
The partnership marks a significant step for both companies as the industry increasingly moves toward modern, API-driven airline retailing.
