WestJet and Canadian Tire Corporation have announced a strategic partnership to integrate their respective loyalty programs—WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards—offering Canadians enhanced opportunities to earn and redeem rewards across travel and everyday purchases. Set to launch in early 2026, this collaboration aims to provide members with a more seamless and rewarding experience.

Members of both programs will be able to link their accounts, enabling them to earn both WestJet points and Canadian Tire Money simultaneously. This dual-earning capability applies whether booking WestJet flights and vacation packages or shopping at Canadian Tire, SportChek, Mark’s, and other participating retailers.

Additionally, linked members who use their Triangle Mastercard or WestJet RBC Mastercard will benefit from accelerated earn rates when making purchases within participating businesses. WestJet Rewards members will also have the option to convert their WestJet points into Canadian Tire Money, providing increased flexibility and value when shopping across Canadian Tire’s extensive retail network.

Darryl Jenkins, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer at Canadian Tire Corporation, commented, “This is an exciting step as we extend the reach and value of Triangle Rewards, putting more Canadian Tire Money in the hands of millions of Canadians. Travel is a meaningful category for our members, and WestJet is the ideal partner to help us reward them better.”

John Weatherill, Group Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer at WestJet, added, “The partnership between WestJet and CTC represents a powerful collaboration between two beloved Canadian brands. We are thrilled to bring our WestJet flights and vacation packages into the Triangle Rewards program and excited that our WestJet Rewards members will soon be able to earn WestJet points on their everyday purchases at CTC banners.”

This partnership is part of Canadian Tire’s broader strategy to enhance its loyalty offerings, following previous collaborations with Petro-Canada in 2024 and an upcoming partnership with RBC set to launch in 2026. For WestJet, this alliance aligns with its recent efforts to refresh its rewards program, making travel more affordable and accessible for its members.

By integrating their loyalty programs, WestJet and Canadian Tire aim to provide Canadians with more value and flexibility, rewarding them for both their travel and everyday shopping activities.
