Vietjet (Vietnam) launches loyalty programme SkyJoy

The loyalty program was initially introduced in a limited capacity in February and is now open for public sign-ups through the VietJet website and SkyJoy app.

VietJet, the Vietnamese ultra-low-cost carrier, has launched its loyalty program called SkyJoy, offering customers the opportunity to earn and redeem SkyPoints on flight tickets and purchases from over 250 popular brands in Vietnam. With SkyJoy, passengers can fly frequently, earn abundant rewards, and enjoy a range of partner options.

The loyalty program was initially introduced in a limited capacity in February and is now open for public sign-ups through the VietJet website and SkyJoy app. Customers can also request a “Retro Claim” for flights they have already taken.

SkyJoy offers four levels of frequent fliers. To celebrate the program’s launch, VietJet awards 500 SkyPoints to each new member who registers. Entry-level or Red members earn one SkyPoint for every VNĐ 10,000 ($0.43) spent with VietJet. Additional benefits include 500 Bonus SkyPoints on birthdays, 30 SkyPoints for purchasing tickets and ancillary services through the VietJet app, and an extra 25% SkyPoints bonus for bookings on special occasions like Valentine’s Day and Vietnam National Day.

SkyPoints accrue on a twelve-month basis, and passengers can progress through Membership Tiers based on their spending and flight activity. The Silver level requires a minimum of four one-way journeys and offers a higher earning rate. Gold membership can be achieved by accumulating at least ten one-way segments or by purchasing the Sky+ Gold Membership Pass, which comes with a bonus of 30,000 SkyPoints. Gold members enjoy benefits like priority check-in, baggage tagging, and boarding at the departure gate. Currently applicable only for domestic flights, these benefits will extend to international flights from July 2023. Diamond members can earn up to 12 SkyPoints per VNĐ 10,000.

SkyJoy members can redeem their SkyPoints for various travel and non-travel rewards. They can use their points to purchase Fixed Point tickets, Final Deal tickets, and Market Fare tickets, saving up to 90% compared to cash fares. Additionally, members can redeem rewards from over 250 Vietnamese brands, spanning food, shopping, and services. Partners include Samsung, Grab, Mobifone, Saymee, MOMO, Vascara, Ogawa, Yody, TAPTAP, Maison Online, UrBox, Furama Danang – Resorts and Villa, Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport, and Booking.com.

To celebrate the launch of SkyJoy, VietJet is offering an exclusive Golden Week promotion with 0-SkyPoint tickets. The event runs from May 15th to 23rd, allowing travel until the end of 2023. Hundreds of thousands of VietJet flight tickets to popular destinations such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue, Bangkok, Singapore, Osaka, Tokyo, and Hong Kong are included in this promotion.
