Flipkart is about to unveil a new service called “Flipkart Plus Premium,” which is expected to offer improved benefits compared to its existing program, Flipkart Plus. Contrary to what the name might suggest, this new program will not require any paid subscription; it will be completely free for users, as confirmed by a teaser on the platform.

Flipkart Plus Premium is likely to be an extension of the current customer benefits program, Flipkart Plus, and its launch in India is imminent. Although specific details about the perks of Plus Premium have not been disclosed yet, the company has assured users that all information will be revealed within the next two weeks.

Currently, Flipkart Plus is not entirely free for users. It offers customers SuperCoins, a virtual currency within the Flipkart ecosystem, along with various other benefits. These SuperCoins can be redeemed while making purchases across a wide range of products on the Flipkart app or website.

To become a Flipkart Plus member, customers can join the loyalty program using SuperCoins earned through their purchases on the website. The existing Flipkart Plus already provides advantages like free shipping, accelerated SuperCoins earnings, early access to deals, and priority customer support. To enroll in Flipkart Plus, users need to use 200 SuperCoins, and after joining, they will receive four SuperCoins for every Rs 100 spent on the platform.

The upcoming Flipkart Plus Premium is expected to offer enhanced benefits and an improved shopping experience at no additional cost to users. It is likely that the new Plus Premium membership could be revealed during the Independence Day sale, which the platform traditionally hosts to offer significant discounts to Indian customers.

While there is no official announcement about the Independence Day sale yet, considering the company’s past practices, it is expected to host one this year as well. Additionally, Flipkart is likely to hold another big sale event before Diwali, offering more exciting deals and discounts to its customers.
