Starting from 1st August 2023, the partnership between UC Card and Priority Pass will offer UC Platinum Card Holders in Japan access to a wide range of international airport lounges and travel experiences. As part of this collaboration, UC Platinum cardholders will be entitled to six complimentary visits to Priority Pass’ extensive global network of airport lounges and travel experiences.

The travel industry is rapidly recovering, and Japanese travelers are now seeking seamless, integrated experiences that enhance their journeys. This partnership aims to support UC Card’s growing portfolio of traveling cardholders by providing them with valuable travel perks.

According to Collinson’s recent survey, Japanese travelers highly value premium travel experiences. Airport lounge access was ranked as the top travel-related benefit among Japanese respondents (11% of the total survey participants were from Japan). Previous research has also indicated that Japanese travelers attach great importance to additional travel-related experiences, such as dining discounts, airport transfers, baggage delivery, and lifestyle and wellness benefits, including sleep pods and access to a wellbeing and fitness app – all of which are accessible through a Priority Pass membership.

With travel making a comeback and consumers placing greater emphasis on premium travel experiences, brands now have the opportunity to reconnect and strengthen their relationships with their most valued customers. Offering travel loyalty benefits, such as access to airport lounges and travel experiences, can be an effective way to achieve this goal.

llection agency Cint surveyed 4,750 consumers in ten Asia Pacific markets, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam, who participate in one or more brand loyalty programs and took one or more return trips by air in the last year.
