Travelport, a global technology company specializing in facilitating travel bookings, and Res2, a Netherlands-based provider of departure control systems and a leader in airport automation, have announced a new multi-year agreement with Thai Vietjet.

As part of this agreement, Thai Vietjet will implement the iPort DCS (Departure Control System) to manage passenger handling, baggage, and boarding processes. This integration of iPort is expected to significantly improve the customer experience by automating various aspects of airport operations.

Thai Vietjet’s CEO, Woranate Laprabang, expressed enthusiasm for this strategic partnership, stating, “We are very excited about this strategic partnership with Travelport and Res2. The growth plan of our airline requires a strong partner; we recognize the vital role that iPort DCS will play in our airport operation modernization. We are confident that our collaboration with Res2 and Travelport LP will enable us to enhance the travel experience for our customers.”

iPort DCS offers an end-to-end service designed to enhance efficiency in the check-in and boarding processes, enable self-service capabilities, improve security and compliance with immigration regulations, reduce wait times, and enhance the management of accurate information.
