lebua Hotels & Resorts has announced a transformative phase in its journey, marked by leadership excellence and award-winning service.

Narawadee Bualert, the founder and president of the globally acclaimed name in luxury hospitality, has taken an active leadership role at the helm of the company, signalling a new era of growth and unparalleled service in the hospitality industry.

The announcement follows a decision by out-going chief executive Deepak Ohri to step down earlier this year.

The change in dynamic leadership comes on the heels of lebua Hotels & Resorts’ recent accolades at the prestigious World Travel Awards, where the brand was once again recognised for its outstanding contributions to the luxury hospitality sector.

Tower Club at lebua was recognised with the titles of World’s Leading Luxury Suites Hotel and Asia’s Leading Luxury All-Suite Hotel this year.

These awards are a testament to lebua’s commitment to setting new benchmarks in creating exceptional luxury experiences.

In line with this exciting development, lebua Hotels & Resorts will also welcome back Rajan Khurana as general manager.

With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, his return marks a significant step in strengthening the operational excellence of the hotel. His extensive background, marked by significant roles in driving revenue and enhancing guest experiences, particularly through digital marketing and sales efforts, makes him an invaluable asset to the lebua team. His return signifies a continued commitment to operational and service excellence.

Under the visionary guidance and seasoned management of Bualert, lebua Hotels & Resorts is poised to introduce ground-breaking luxury experiences, further solidifying its position as a leader in the hospitality industry.

This new chapter is not just about maintaining the legacy of excellence but also about pushing the boundaries of luxury and service.

During his time as chief executive, Ohri dedicated his career to making lebua a renowned name in global luxury hospitality.

“We want to thank Deepak for his dedication and contributions to lebua,” said Bualert.

“During his tenure, lebua became a leader in luxury hospitality thanks to his grit and natural instincts.

“Deepak put our company on the map and earned praise the world over from guests and industry observers alike.

“We look forward to continuing his legacy and wish Deepak the best in his future endeavours.”

While leader of lebua, credited as the first native-born luxury hospitality brand in south-east Asia, Ohri set new industry standards and created the first vertical destination.

Made known worldwide for its luxurious food-and-beverage concepts and unparalleled service, Ohri continued to break barriers with the opening of the highest luxury rooftop restaurant, Sirocco, at lebua.

He subsequently opened two additional flagships restaurants, both of which were awarded two Michelin stars each.

Each location claimed top accolades at the World Culinary Awards

Mezzaluna at lebua at State Tower took the titles of World’s Best Fine Dining Hotel RestaurantAsia’s Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant and Thailand’s Best Restaurant.

At the same time, Chef’s Table, where the team prepare seven inventive courses before your very eyes, was honoured with Asia’s Best Landmark Restaurant and Thailand’s Best Hotel Restaurant.

Ohri is already planning his next move, a luxury “hybrid” hospitality brand that will launch in the United States.

Since creating lebua in 2003, Ohri has also become a leader in management and luxury hospitality whose insights are in demand globally.
